Town of Seneca residents will pay no property tax in 2017

Once again, town property owners will be happy to know they will not have to pay any town taxes in 2017. Adoption of a 2017 town budget is listed under new business for Tuesday’s Seneca Town Board meeting.

Supervisor Andrew Wickham said the budget is similar to the 2016 budget in terms of expenditures. But revenue from Casella Waste Services under a host community benefits agreement for having the Ontario County Landfill in the town more than covers any potential tax levy.
