Man accused in Covert knife attack rejects plea deal

A Covert man has rejected a plea deal to spend 10 years in prison for an alleged knife attack earlier this year. Don Sipp, 40, spurned the offer Monday in Seneca County Court. He faces felony charges of attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

The charges stem from an alleged domestic incident during the early-morning hours of April 9, when Sipp is accused of attacking a woman and cutting her throat and face.
