Andrew White III leads Syracuse over Monmouth, 71-50

Graduate guard Andrew White III scored all of his game-high 18 points in the first half and Syracuse (3-0) remained unbeaten by defeating Monmouth (1-2), 71-50, in the Brooklyn Hoops Holiday Invitational at the Carrier Dome.

White hit 6-of-10 from the field, including a trio of 3-pointers, in the first 20 minutes of play to help the Orange build a 37-29 advantage by the break. The game was knotted at 20 when White connected on consecutive 3-pointers to put Syracuse up for good. White tallied 12 of the last 17 SU points of the half.

Syracuse opened the second half with six straight points to extend its lead to 43-29. The Orange margin grew to as many as 25 points before the outing was settled. Full recap and stats at Cuse.com
