Penn Yan woman arrested after 7 months of alleged crimes take place at residence

A 36-year-old Penn Yan woman was arrested for second-degree criminal nuisance after an investigation into alleged criminal activity.

Officers with the Penn Yan Police Department say that Rebecca S. Rossman, 36, of Penn Yan was arrested after an investigation into criminal activity between the dates of April 6th and November 1st.

They say that Rossman knowingly engaged and maintained her residence on Clinton Street for the purpose of allowing others to gather to engage in criminal activity. During the course of the investigation officers received and investigated numerous complaints of underage drug possession, larcenies, trespass complaints, sexual assault and misconduct complaints.

Rossman was charged with criminal nuisance in the second degree and remanded to the Yates County Jail on $250 cash bail. The investigation is ongoing and police ask anyone with information to call the Penn Yan Police Department.
