Good news and bad about Zika in New York

New York leads the nation in diagnosed cases of Zika virus disease, surpassing even Florida, the only state where Zika is being transmitted by local mosquitoes.

Federal officials say 905 cases of Zika infection had been diagnosed in New York state as of Nov. 16. In Florida, 708 Zika cases had been found, according to the most recent data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
