Geneva will host City, Town tree lighting ceremony on Friday

The City of Geneva announced in a press release that a tree lighting ceremony would be held at 5:30 pm at City Hall. It will coordinate with Geneva Night Out, which will be a special holiday edition.

Geneva Night Out will begin at 5 pm that day and will include horse drawn carriage rides, which will start at Linden Street. Linden Street will be closed for traffic that night.

Kids will have an opportunity to sit with Santa and share their holiday wishes. There will be free popcorn and candy for all kids. Also, participants will have an opportunity to guess how many M&M’s are inside the City’s holiday jar.

Santa will arrive via fire truck at 5:45 pm, according to the release.
