Canandaigua man sentenced for selling gun used in shooting

A Canandaigua man who sold a .45-caliber handgun that was fired into a crowd of people following an argument outside a city bar nearly three years ago is going to prison. Corey R. Laraby, 26, of 193 Parrish St., was sentenced to serve four years in state prison on weapon charges during an appearance in Ontario County Court last month.

Laraby was additionally sentenced by Judge William Kocher on Nov. 9 to serve three years of post-release supervision after pleading guilty to criminal sale of a firearm, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm and second-degree bail jumping, all felonies.
