State Police say a Newark man was arrested after another driver reported that he was “all over the road.”
State Police out of Lyons arrested Joseph Talbot, 43, of Newark for driving while intoxicated following a vehicle and traffic complaint of an erratic operator on State Route 31.
Talbot was stopped on Route 31 in Palmyra for failure to keep right and moving from lane unsafely. He was placed under arrest after failing multiple field sobriety tests and was transported to State Police Lyons for processing.
Talbot refused to provide a breath sample and further refused to be finger printed and photographed because he did not wish to appear in local news.
He was subsequently charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration and failure to comply with the processing procedure.
He was arraigned in Galen Town Court and remanded to the Wayne County Jail on $750 cash bail or $1,500 bond. The charges will be answered in Palmyra Town Court on February 1st at 7 pm.
