Deputies in Ontario County report that the Narcotics Unit made an arrest of a Geneva man who was found to be in possession of several bags of heroin.
Deputies say the arrest took place on January 19th at approximately 3 pm. Florencio Alicea, 32, of Geneva was arrested after he was allegedly observed with a person whom there was a valid stay away order of protection.
While law enforcement members were speaking with him, he was found to be in possession of multiple baggies of heroin. Further investigation revealed that Alicea was also in possession of quantities of Xanax and Suboxone.
The Narcotics Unit also charged Alicea with selling a baggie of heroin just prior to his arrest. He was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.
He was arraigned in Fayette Town Court and was committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility. He will appear in court again on January 24th.
