On Tuesday, the del Lago Resort & Casino team announced that country music sensation Trace Adkins would be coming to The Vine on Friday, April 7th.
In 2016 Trace Adkins released “Jesus and Jones,” his first single with BBR Music Group’s Wheelhouse Records. The anthem about walking the line between Saturday night and Sunday morning is an instant classic from a man with an angel on one shoulder and a devil on the other. It’s par for the course from Adkins, whose trademark baritone has powered countless hits and sold over 10 million albums, cumulatively. The hit list includes “You’re Gonna Miss This,” “Ladies Love Country Boys,” “Songs About Me,” “Every Light In The House,” “Hillbilly Bone” (Blake Shelton & Trace Adkins), and “Just Fishin’,” to name a few.
The Grammy-nominated member of the Grand Ole Opry is a TV personality, actor, author, spokesman for the Wounded Warrior Project and the American Red Cross, for whom he raised over $1.5 million dollars as winner of NBC’s All-Star Celebrity Apprentice. Thus far, Adkins has performed 10 USO Tours.
In his 2007 autobiography, A Personal Stand: Observations and Opinions from a Freethinking Roughneck, the former oil-rigger recounted his rise to fame, brushes with death, and battles with personal demons. Trace has played a tough as nails biker in The Lincoln Lawyer (starring Matthew McConaughey) and a wise tattoo artist in the family-friendly Moms’ Night Out (starring Patricia Heaton, Sean Astin, Sarah Drew).
On Monday a slew of new performers were announced, which included Boys II Men, Jana Kramer, and many more. The resort and casino is slated to open on February 1st, with the opening of it’s hotel expected to come this summer.
The casino promises a shot of economic development through various channels, which hasn’t been seen in a number of years. The Tyre casino and resort has already landed a number of high-stakes acts for it’s 2,400-person venue ‘The Vine’.
