Newark man charged in Walmart burglary last year; was banned from all locations

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Anthony L. Santiago, 33, of Newark.

Santiago was arrested on an arrest warrant at the Monroe County Jail stemming from an incident in which Santiago was charged with third-degree burglary and petit larceny following a burglary investigation. He allegedly entered the Walmart store in the Town of Macedon in September of 2016 and stole items from the store after signing a no trespass order following a similar incident that occurred at the Newark store location.

This no trespass order is applicable to all area Walmart locations.

Following arraignment in the Town of Macedon Court, Santiago was remanded to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 insurance bond by the Honorable Judge Crowley.

Santiago is scheduled to reappear before the Town of Macedon Court at a later date for further proceedings.
