Dundee voters turn down capital project

Dundee Central School voters have turned down the proposed capital project again.

By a vote of 149 yes to 242 no, the voters have nixed a $15.9 million plan to replace the bus garage which was built in 1938. The plan also called for re-configuration of the student drop off area at the elementary school, replacement of the 1938 building roof, and security infrastructure improvements. The local cost of the project was projected to impact the property tax levy by an additional 38 cents per $1,000 of assessed property value.
