Finger Lakes band Major Crush competing to open for Bon Jovi at Madison Square Garden

Finger Lakes-based pop-rock and roll band Major Crush is competing in a contest to open for Bon Jovi at Madison Square Garden.

It’s an ambitious goal for a young band, but some of the members (guitarist Kenny Ende, 24, singer Tommy Ende, 23, bassist Frankie Wheeler, 21, and drummer Brandon Young, 25) have been hopping around as live musicians for several years.

“This has been sort of a long journey,” said Tommy Ende, who first started performing live as a freshman at Mynderse Academy in Seneca Falls.
