FL Land Bank set to take action on delinquent properties

Two years after being formed, the Finger Lakes Regional Land Bank Corp. will take the first step toward acquiring and rehabilitating delinquent Seneca County properties.

The corporation’s Board of Directors will meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the Legislative Conference Room on the third floor of the County Office Building, 1 DiPronio Drive.

Land Bank President and CEO Peter Brown said the board will look at the list of tax delinquent properties scheduled to be foreclosed on by the county in March.

“We will look at the process and begin the process of selecting the first ones to acquire. We need to be ready to take on a project when the county is ready to transfer the deed to us,” Brown said.
