NYS spent $280k on prime time ads on Super Bowl Sunday

New York Empire State Development, which is already taking heat for the amount of money it's spent on TV ads for its START-UP NY program, made a sizable TV ad buy the night of the Super Bowl.

You may have noticed the commercials that aired before and after the game; some touted New York's business climate, some were New York tourism ads. ESD tells me the agency spent $280,000 on multiple ads that ran across New York State, and in other parts of the Northeast.
