Tractor-trailer rollover on Rt. 34B in Groton

An accident in Groton has resulted in part of Route 34B and Peruville Road being temporarily shut down.

According to the Ithaca Voice, the crash was caused by slippery road conditions, according to Lt. Daniel Donahue of the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office. The tractor-trailer slid off the road and entered the ditch, where the trailer overturned but the tractor stayed upright.

The crash happened around 9 am between Peruville Road and Cobb Street. Traffic was slow in the area as crews worked to clear the scene.

No injuries were reported.
