Del Lago’s gross gaming revenue exceeded $6M in first two weeks

In its first two weeks of operation, del Lago Resort & Casino reported a total gross gaming revenue of $6.3 million — after winnings were deducted.

That figure represents slot machines, electronic table games, staffed table games such as blackjack, craps and baccarat, and poker tables. Total gross gaming revenue is the taxable revenue from the facility. Eighty percent of that helps fund public education statewide.

Another 10 percent is split between the town of Tyre and Seneca County as the town and county hosting del Lago. The remaining 10 percent is distributed, based on population, to Broome, Chemung, Tompkins, Schuyler and Wayne counties.
