OFFICIALS: Deputy fired, charged with sex abuse in Wayne Co.

Wayne County Sheriff Barry Virts reports that one deputy was fired on Tuesday after an internal investigation.

Now that former deputy is facing two charges. Deputy Devin Hall, of Sodus was charged with sex abuse and official misconduct after he engaged in what the department has called “unethical and criminal conduct.”

The statement continues, pointing out that Hall was terminated on Tuesday afternoon. The Sheriff’s Office didn’t specify what Hall was accused of doing,

He was arraigned in Lyons Town Court. This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
