Ambulance workers save Waterloo man who was overdosing during crash

A 26-year-old male was saved after he was found to be overdosing on a narcotic during a car accident on Edwards Road in Waterloo.

Deputies were called to the scene on February 21st around 11:38 am. The male operator of the vehicle, identified as Benjamin D. Jarlenski, 26, of Waterloo was still inside the vehicle in the ditch.

He had to be extricated from the car by members of the Border City Fire Department and was found to be overdosing on a narcotic.

NARCAN was quickly administered by members of the North Seneca Ambulance team and was stabilized. He was transferred to Geneva General Hospital where he was charged with failure to keep right, and driving under the influence of drugs.

The vehicle sustained little damage and it was towed from the scene. He appeared in Waterloo Town Court on February 24th for further action.
