Committee sets up fundraising for Women’s Strike effort

A “strike fund” is being set up for women who lose wages for participating in the March 8 women’s strike.

Organizers of the Geneva Women’s Strike Committee met Thursday to begin planning for a women’s assembly in front of the 433 Exchange St. office of Congressman Tom Reed, R-23 of Corning.

Organizer Laura Salamendra said about 20 people attended to discuss the issues of human and women’s rights that are important to them under the Trump administration.
