A leadership change is underway at the New York State Agricultural Experiment Station.
Susan Brown, one of the foremost authorities in apple research, is departing the station after serving as director since 2015. Before that, she was the station’s assistant director for one year.
Kathryn Boor, dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Science at Cornell University, to which the Ag Station is connected, told ag station employees in a message earlier this month of Brown’s departure. Her last official day is Tuesday.
Boor said Brown will return to her full-time faculty position in the School of Integrative Plant Science.
