Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s favorable rating has hit 60 percent for the first time in more than two years, according to a new Siena College poll released Monday.
Cuomo was last viewed favorably by at least 60 percent of voters in January 2015 — the first month of his second term as governor.
Along with his favorability, Cuomo’s job performance marks received a boost. Half of voters said he’s doing an excellent or good job, compared to 48 percent who said he’s doing a fair or poor job as governor. Fifty percent of voters say they’ll support Cuomo for a third term as governor.
