Two charged after fight in Waterloo; second jailed after acting out in court

On March 1st the Waterloo Police Department executed a pair of arrest warrants at 55 Washington St.

The warrants stemmed from an altercation that took place on February 27th at the same address. Anthony M. Silbernagel, 27, and Charles Orego Sr., 42, both of that address were arrested by officers.

Orego was charged with second-degree harassment and endangering the welfare of a child. He is accused of threatening to strike a 15-year-old male with a raised fist.

He was released after being arraigned. An order of protection was issued on-behalf of the victim.

Silbernagel was charged with two counts of criminal obstruction of breathing, two counts of second-degree harassment, and endangering the welfare of a child.

He is accused of choking a female, as well as a 15-year-old male during the incident. He also punched and pushed them during the incident, according to police.

He used profanity and acted out while in court and physically fought with police. He was remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 secured bond.

An order of protection was issued for all victims involved.
