Auburn Correctional Facility officers ‘frustrated’ will picket on Wednesday

It’s a matter of frustration and a lack of support.

Auburn Correctional Facility officers have scheduled a picket, which will highlight their frustration with prison administration, as well as low morale.

Both have become major problems for employees. Safety is another issue that needs to be addressed.

The need for greater support across the board inside the facility for employees has become a priority for some.

Participants will emphasize their messages about a rise in violence against corrections officers, low employee morale and a lack of administrative support, according to NYSCOPBA, according to the Auburn Citizen.

Members of the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office, Auburn Police Department and Fire Department are expected to join in support.
