Ithaca superintendent discusses evolving curriculum

During a question-and-answer session Tuesday night with community members, Ithaca City Schools Superintendent Dr. Luvelle Brown was asked which human rights concerns students in the district are most vocal about.

Brown said one of the most common concerns younger students have is the availability of higher education and if they will have access to a diverse learning experience when they grow older.

Human rights and its co-existence with the district’s evolving curriculum was the main topic Tuesday night at The Space at GreenStar during the Ithaca Coalition for Unity & Cooperation in the Middle East’s monthly dinner conversation series.
