Several members of local law enforcement were recognized for their efforts in keeping the roads of Ontario County safe from drunk drivers, speeders and others. Ontario County sheriff’s deputy Skyler Miller is top of the list because his on-the-road efforts in 2016 were big.
How big? Miller was named the Ontario County STOP-DWI Program’s Top Cop honoree. Actually, Undersheriff David Tillman described the honor with a bit more pizzazz.
“‘Top Cop’ is huge,” Tillman said, while presenting Miller the honor during a ceremony Wednesday in Geneva. Deputies aggressively seek to rid the roads of drivers who are under the influence of drugs, alcohol or both, which is exemplified by the efforts of Miller and other deputies, Tillman said.
