Auburn man sentenced to prison for sexually abusing girl in Cayuga County

An Auburn man was sentenced to prison Tuesday after he and his brother admitted to sexually abusing a young girl in Cayuga County.

Vincent Parker, 48, of 52 Grant Ave., pleaded guilty in January to one count of first-degree sexual conduct against a child, a class B felony. At the time, Vincent admitted to sexually abusing a girl in June 2009 and his brother, 45-year-old James Parker, pleaded guilty to seven counts of third-degree sexual abuse, a class B misdemeanor.

Cayuga County District Attorney Jon Budelmann said both brothers repeatedly abused the child from 2003 to 2009. The child — the daughter of Vincent’s ex-girlfriend — was 10 years old when the sexual abuse began.
