Crews worked for several hours battling Newfield fire

Firefighters spent hours battling a blaze in Newfield on Thursday.

The fire was reported at 11:09 pm at 1399 Shaffer Rd., according to officials.

Crews from West Danby, Enfield, Van Etten, and Odessa all assisted at the scene. Bangs Ambulance was also called to the scene, but they were ultimately not needed as there were no injuries reported.

The charred remains of the home left little for the owners to build from. However, a large portion of the home appears to have been spared from the blaze.

The last units left the home at 4:38 am.
