Residents can weigh in on chicken ordinance Monday

A three-year-old proposal to allow residents to own egg-laying hens in the city drew plenty of concerns from City Council and from some residents earlier this year.

The concerns were so strong, that the city’s chief proponent of the effort, resident Jeff Henderson, asked to withdraw the proposal.

However, his chief Council supporter of the effort, Ward 4 Councilor Ken Camera, wasn’t having it, and vowed that he would push only. Well, the proposal is back.
