Snowmobile crash sends Newark man to Strong Hospital

A Newark man was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital after his snow mobile crashed in Manchester, according to deputies.

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Tuesday at approximately 9:26 pm deputies were called to Pioneer Rd. in Manchester for the report of a snowmobile accident.

Both Shortsville Fire Department and Ambulance responded to the scene. The operator of the sled, Jeffry R. Cook, of Newark was traveling north on Pioneer Rd. when he failed to negotiate a turn causing it to overturn.

He was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital by ambulance.
