Syracuse women’s basketball crushes Iowa State, 85-65, in NCAA opener (full-coverage)

The game was supposed to be evenly matched. A matchup between eight-seeded Syracuse and ninth-seeded Iowa State. Both teams ran out on the court to warm up at around the same time and the teams took turns introducing players before the tip.

But from the first SU possession, which ended in a Gabby Cooper 3-pointer from the left wing, it was clear things were anything but even. It was clear after Cooper made four more 3s in the quarter. It was clear after the Cyclones shot just 2-of-18 (11.1 percent) in the quarter. It was clear when the Orange ended the opening frame up by 25 points.
