Stanley woman fled deputies at 91 mph on 5&20, charged with DWI

Deputies in Ontario County arrested a 41-year-old Stanley woman after a brief pursuit on State Rt. 5&20.

The entire ordeal took place during the early-morning hours of Sunday. Deputies say they attempted to stop Dennie C. Lynn, 41, of Stanley when they observed her speeding — going nearly 40 mph over the posted speed limit. They say Lynn was observed traveling 91 mph in the 55 mph zone on Rt. 5&20.

When deputies attempted to stop her, she was pursued for over a mile before finally stopping the vehicle. When she was stopped — Lynn was transported to the Ontario County Jail.

Once there, Lynn refused a breath test to determine the amount of alcohol in her blood. She was issued citations for driving while intoxicated, failure to comply with a lawful order, speed above 55 mph, speed in zone, and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle. Lynn was held at the Ontario County Jail pending arraignment in Canandaigua City Court.

The charges will be answered in Seneca Town Court.
