On Tuesday at 4:52 pm members of the Seneca Falls Police Department arrested a Syracuse man following a months-long investigation into the sale of narcotics in Seneca Falls.
Berain L. Winfield, 34, of Syracuse was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance – a Class C felony; third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance – a Class B felony; third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance – a Class B felony; and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Winfield was arrested following a traffic stop on Fall St. and taken into custody without incident. Police say they seized approximately $2,000 worth of cocaine and his vehicle was impounded after the arrest.
He was arraigned in Seneca Falls Town Court and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on no bail. He is due back in court on March 30th at 9 am.
