Black Bear caught on camera in Sodus (video)

A Sodus resident’s outdoor camera captured a visitor last night, as the region continues to see increased black bear sightings.

It’s not uncommon, as several Wayne County residents have noted throughout the last two weeks, but the video shows a black bear knocking around a bird feeder.

The DEC says that bird feeders should be taken down by April 1st, as birds no longer need supplemental food. The feeders can attract bears and other wild animals, as those emerge from winter cover.
