Temperatures that didn’t quite break 40 degrees and a steady sprinkle of rain weren’t enough to dampen the spirits of those gathered for an Easter egg hunt Saturday.
A large crowd of excited children and adults packed an open field at the Farmington Town Park to participate in the annual event. The egg-hunting grounds were broken up into four categories, for those ages 3 and 4, ages 5 and 6, ages 7 and 8, and ages 9 and 10.
Three-year-old Connor Howland, of Farmington, gathered a respectable 15 little plastic eggs that were scattered throughout the hunting area. Various treats and tickets that offered larger prizes were inside the eggs quickly gathered up by the group of young ones.
