Plans afoot to restore Parish Flats in Naples

Community input is sought for a project to improve habitat and water quality, reduce flooding and maintain fishing and transportation in Parish Flats.

The town of Naples will host a presentation and discussion April 19 at 7 p.m. at Naples Village Annex, 106 S. Main St. Engineers and environmental scientists will present findings and residents will be able to share their knowledge of Parish Flats, which stretches between Routes 245 and Route 21.

Partners in the restoration project include: town of Naples; Canandaigua Lake Watershed Council; The Nature Conservancy; and New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
