Getting fit in Victor, one step, one row, one plank at a time

A Saturday morning Health and Wellness Expo hosted by the Victor Chamber of Commerce offered a jackpot of solutions and strategies to people looking to make positive lifestyle changes.

While attendees took selfies with Olympic athletes and their gold medals, the Thompson Cares Bear demonstrated how to do planks and kids learned how to fence — safely. Parents weren’t left out in the cold at the event at the Pinnacle Athletic Campus. Many enjoyed soothing chair massages in between stops at various health and wellness booths.

Meghan Musnicki, five-time world champion in the U.S. women’s eight rowing team and two-time Olympic gold medalist, said she was excited to be part of the expo, along with Olympic fencer Iris Zimmerman of Rochester Fencing Club and Olympic rower Kristen Thorsness.
