Teen charged with attempted assault after fight at Mynderse

A 14-year-old female was arrested following an unprovoked physical altercation with another student that occurred at the Mynderse Academy High School in Seneca Falls on April 5th.

School officials along with the school resource officer were notified of the incident after the altercation was broken up by staff member.

No injuries were reported and the other student was seen by nursing staff before being released to parents.

The 14-year-old, whose name is being withheld due to her age, was charged with third-degree attempted assault and second-degree unlawful imprisonment.

The teen was released on appearance tickets to her parents and will answer the charges at a later date and time in Seneca County Family Court.

She was also suspended from school.
