Galen Historical Society to celebrate Erie Canal, women’s suffrage

Galen Historical Society will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Erie Canal and women’s suffrage during its quarterly meeting at 6:30 p.m. April 24 at Brick Church Museum, 31 N. Park St., Clyde.

Erie Canal Museum employee and Canal Society of New York member Bruce Schwendy will share his knowledge of the Erie Canal and sell copies of his book. Attendees will share desserts provided by GHS members after a business meeting.
