Developers of the proposed Fishers Ridge project breathed a sigh of relief Tuesday night as Victor Town Planning Board members gave them the go-ahead for Phase 1 of the 96-acre multi-use project northeast of Route 96 and northwest of Lane Road.
The 3-to-2 vote follows a decade or more of back-and-forth between the town of Victor and the Rochester-based DiMarco Group over traffic, infrastructure, wetlands and possible native American battleground. Voting in favor of the project were Joe Logan, Jack Dianetti and Ernie Santoro. Those opposed were Al Gallina and Heather Zollo.
Phase 1 is expected to include a 132,200-square-foot Bass Pro sporting goods store, with a 17,400-square-foot restaurant, installation of the stormwater management system, construction of an access road and installation of utilities.
