Victim airlifted, investigation underway into pedestrian struck at Geneva Walmart

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says an investigation is underway after they responded to a personal injury accident that happened at the Geneva Walmart parking lot around 7:46 pm on Tuesday.

Deputies say a GMC pickup truck, operated by Kevin Savage, 34, of Geneva — struck Jessica Archer, who was in the parking lot. Officials identified Archer as a 33-year-old Canandaigua resident.

She received injuries as result of being struck by the pickup truck and was flown by LifeNet to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of those injuries.

White Springs Fire Department and Finger Lakes Ambulance assisted at the scene.

There is an active investigation into the cause of the incident and the Sheriff’s Office says they will release more information as it becomes available.

Archer’s injuries were listed as “not life threatening,” according to deputies.
