More than 50 Cayuga County veterans are preparing for one heck of a road trip this weekend.
Those who served in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War, will travel by bus to Washington D.C. on Friday and stay through Sunday to see the memorials built in their honor. The trip, called Operation Enduring Gratitude, is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus No. 207. This is the second time the group is sending veterans down to the nation’s capital for free after the first trip in 2012.
