Ovid man charged with trespassing

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on April 19th at 9:25 am, deputies arrested 21-year-old Jericho J. Mundell of Ovid for the charges of Trespass and Criminal Mischief in the fourth degree.

The arrest stems from a complaint on East Seneca St. where Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a home after the residents noticed that their propane tank was knocked over, a window was broken and there was a large amount of blood outside the home.

Deputies were able to follow the trail of blood to a home on Water St. where they located Mundell with a cut on his hand from the glass window that he had broken out while he was peeping into the window.

Mundell was arraigned in the Town of Covert Court where he was released.

A stay away order of protection was issued on behalf of the victims. He is to appear in the Town of Ovid on the 16th of May at 10 am to answer the charges.

Deputies were assisted by members o f the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division.
