Auburn Deputy Police Chief who pleaded guilty to DWAI will return to work next week

The Deputy Police Chief who was suspended after his arrest earlier this month will return to work next week. Roger Anthony, 44, will return to his role as deputy police chief Wednesday, according to Jeff Dygert, the Auburn City Manager.

Anthony has been on administrative leave without pay after being arrested on April 1st in the town of Aurelius.

“The police and myself met with Mr. Anthony today to go over his discipline based that we now have an outcome from the courts,” said Dygert. “He will be coming back to work… as far as any other discipline that is going on that is a personal internal matter and will be staying inside.”

Anthony paid a $500 ticket when he pleaded guilty last week to Driving While Ability Impaired by Alcohol.
