Dealing with new pitching rules in high school baseball

Like it or not, the safety-inspired pitch count rule already has changed how local teams are playing the ol’ ballgame.

The rule, based on the number of pitches per player and put in place by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association, establishes a specific number of days that must pass before a player pitches in his next high school game.
