Walker’s walk-off gives Mets win over Giants

The Mets earned a measure of revenge for their National League Wild Card loss to the Giants last October, scoring a 4-3 win Monday on Neil Walker’s walk-off single in the ninth.

The winning rally began when Michael Conforto drew a leadoff walk off Josh Osich in the ninth inning, moving to second when Wilmer Flores greeted Hunter Strickland with an infield single. The next batter, Walker, ripped a single into the right-field corner to plate Conforto and send Citi Field into a frenzy.
