Cobblestone Arts Center, Canandaigua American Legion Post 256 remember the fallen

Eric Neatrour was thinking about his grandfather’s friend, who died during World War II, as he listened to members of the Canandaigua American Legion speak and heard the sounds of Taps playing.

The thoughts made him sad, as did the ceremony at Cobblestone Arts Center, where Neatrour, 38, is a student.

For six years, the small American flags have flown out front of the center, a tribute to the service men and women from New York state who died while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
