An early morning breakfast and “State of the County, City and Town” talk Friday opened eyes and fueled conversation about what’s next for the Chosen Spot and surrounding communities.
Canandaigua Area Chamber of Commerce members on Friday heard from government officials, including Ontario County Board of Supervisors Chairman Jack Marren, Canandaigua Mayor Ellen Polimeni, and Canandaigua Town Manager Doug Finch, who stood in for Supervisor Greg Westbrook, during a talk at the Inn on the Lake.
“A lot of what we learned today is that people we know can make things happen,” said Chamber Executive Director Ethan Fogg. “We’re literally hearing about wheels turning and people we know, that we like, that we do business with, that are personally involved in changing and increasing the quality of our life.”
Touting the county’s recently crafted vision and mission statements, Marren emphasized a countywide commitment “to create a vibrant community where every citizen has the opportunity to be healthy, safe and successful.”
