In 2006, chef Thomas Keller opened a new restaurant in California. The casual eatery — called Ad Hoc — was created to temporarily fill a space. As such, it featured a new menu every day, scribbled on chalkboards throughout the restaurant.
Now, the Inns of Aurora has taken a page out of Keller’s cookbook (so to speak), chalking up a new summer restaurant in the village.
The idea of a Keller-inspired pop-up came to the Inns of Aurora just last month, when its management team began brainstorming a way to temporarily fill an empty space on Main Street — a space that used to house Dorie’s Bakery.
