Canandaigua City Manager Ted Andrzejewski has been placed on administrative leave with pay effective Friday.
Andrzejewski will remain on leave for the remainder of the month, said Mayor Ellen Polimeni, who met with him Friday afternoon. The city manager’s salary for 2017 is budgeted at $106,050.
Polimeni said this is a result of “personal issues of his,” but declined further comment on the specifics of this City Council decision.
“We decided it’s best for him to be on administrative leave for the rest of the month and then we will be reevaluating,” Polimeni said.
While on leave, Andrzejewski will be unable to perform any city business, Polimeni said. A message for comment was left on his work voicemail. He is a city resident.
Assistant City Manager John Goodwin, who declined comment, will be in charge for the remainder of the month, as would normally happen during an absence of illness or vacation, for example.
